Verde Mountain is a unique wood working model with a focus on capturing a story. It’s not just wood but pieces that have a story meaningful to the customer. Our service has been used by individuals to museums, teams to individual athletes.

In 2022 we started making product for the Plimoth Patuxet Museum in Massachusetts from wood salvaged during the restoration of the Mayflower II. Earrings and bead bracelets that have become their top sellers in each of these categories.

I have wood from Robert Frost’s Backyard, teak from the deck of the USS New Jersey, baseball bats broken in a MLB game, post from the steam ship Ticonderoga, a douglas fir post from a 1890’s barge from Burlington Vt, or Calvin Coolidges maple tree.

When you think about a loss on a heirloom rocking chair to a fire the loos you feel is not from the loss of the chair but the stories that chair represents. Seeing a piece connected to a time, place or person stimulates memories individual to each of us.
