Lilac 2

These lilac wood earrings have just a touch of purple. Some woods like lilac react to water which creates a color variation. In the case of lilac, it creates a purp0le vein. Lilac has 2 kinds of wood. The heartwood which is darker and much harder like our bones give the branch stability. This is surrounded by a softer and lighter layer where the nutrients run. When toxins are created by the addition of water the lilac moves those toxins to a layer between the 2 types of wood. Extremely lightweight one of a kind. Wood piece 2” hanging length 2 1/2”
